Cargo Hall – City Chic wedding of Mel + Nic

The Couple:

Mel + Nic chose the gorgeous Cargo Hall by ShowTime Events to celebrate their wedding day! They are perfect for each in every way, and the more I spoke to their wedding tribe, family, and friends, I realised that they are each others ‘pea to their pods, yin to their yang, sausage to their bread, or their coke to their jack!’

The Venue:

Cargo Hall by ShowTime Events – Just wow! With views of the city, on Southbank backed onto the Yarra River, there are endless photo opportunities and the venue is to die for.

Mel + Nic had their ceremony at Cargo Hall by ShowTime Events, how gorgeous is the room set up, which was then swiftly flipped by the wonderful staff at ShowTime Events within an hour or so! 

So, as Cargo Hall by ShowTime Events was recreated into their wedding reception, Mel, Nic, and their wedding crew headed out to get pictures!  

The Music:

Mel + Nic decided to pick my Reception Only wedding package [see details here] which meant live tunes during dinner + DJ tunes once we were ready to dance the night away. Although I didn’t MC, I did kind of help ‘co-MC’ for the night, which is also so much super fun! 

To start the ‘vibe’ of the night, as we revealed the room to their guests, we played Queens ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ which was a great way to start. 

Once we were ready to introduce the Wedding Tribe, they came into the fun and upbeat song, Celebration, by KC and The Gang.

First Dance song, well wow, it’s one I’ve never played before and if I could play it again and again and again, I would. It was ‘This Is the Moment – by Anthony Warlow’… Listen to it here! I’m a HUGE Warlow fan, and love all his music.

Their music brief was ‘fun, energetic, lots of bangers and anything that will get people up on the dance floor and keep them there! Mel was also a HUGE P!nk fan [so am I] so we made sure P!nk featured 🙂
